Description
A quick and flavorful appetizer, this bruschetta dip features creamy herbed cheese, fresh tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 container (6.5 oz) Alouette Cheese with herbs or similar soft cheese like Boursin
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze or reduction
- Pita chips, crackers, or thinly sliced baguette for serving
Instructions
- Place a clean, dry plate or small platter on your work surface. Evenly spread the soft herbed cheese over the center, leaving a 1/4 inch border.
- Chop the tomatoes into small pieces and blot them with a paper towel. Sprinkle them evenly over the cheese layer.
- Chop the fresh basil finely and distribute it across the top of the tomatoes.
- Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the entire surface in a crisscross pattern. Use a light hand as a little goes a long way.
- Serve immediately with pita chips, crackers, or sliced baguette.
Notes
- If tomatoes are too juicy, pat them dry to prevent the dip from becoming watery.
- Let cheese come to room temperature before spreading for easier application.
- Balsamic glaze should be used instead of vinegar for better consistency and flavor.
- Can be assembled ahead of time without the glaze; add it just before serving.
