Description

Bang Bang Salmon is a crispy, spicy, and sweet dish that takes bite-sized salmon pieces to the next level. The salmon is air-fried to perfection and coated in a tangy, creamy, sweet, and spicy sauce made from Thai sweet chili, sriracha, and lime juice. It’s the perfect balance of smoky, spicy, and savory flavors that will leave you craving more.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds salmon fillets (skin removed, cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, sriracha sauce, honey, and lime juice. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the salmon bites with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if desired). Toss gently to coat the salmon evenly.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the salmon bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  4. Once cooked, transfer the salmon bites to a serving platter and drizzle with the prepared Bang Bang sauce. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you don’t have an air fryer, bake the salmon bites at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • For a spicier version, increase the amount of sriracha in the sauce or add extra cayenne pepper to the salmon seasoning.
  • For best results, serve the salmon immediately after cooking to keep the crispy texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer to retain crispiness.
