Description

These Red, White, and Blue Fruit Kabobs are a fun, easy, and healthy treat for your summer parties, perfect for beginners and a great patriotic snack idea.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 24 bamboo skewers

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the strawberries and blueberries. Cut the strawberries into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Take a bamboo skewer and thread a strawberry, followed by a marshmallow and then a blueberry. Repeat until the skewer is full.
  3. Continue until all ingredients are used up, making about 24 skewers.
  4. Cover the skewers and refrigerate until ready to serve. These kabobs are best enjoyed within 24 hours.

Notes

  • If you plan to keep the kabobs out for a while, place the platter on ice to keep the fruit cool.
  • To make the kabobs more dessert-like, replace the marshmallows with Angel Food Cake pieces.
  • For a fun twist, cut watermelon into star shapes and add them to the skewers.
  • For a more natural option, swap marshmallows with extra fruit like grapes or bananas.
