It’s December and the silly season is here! Gee December is such a, oh how do I put it, EXPENSIVE month! With Christmas shopping and all the family festivities to attend, it’s dear, tiring and not to mention, un-friendly to the waistline.
Speaking of waistlines, we had a quick coffee and dessert pit stop at Max Brenner (Macquarie Shopping Centre, North Ryde) last Saturday. I’m sure they must have just recently opened as last time we were on that side of the shopping centre some 5 months ago, it was a diner type restaurant. New or not, you guys know how much I love chocolates so I simply had to go there and indulge.
My little girl wanted a banana split type dessert and this was the closest thing they had on the menu. Menu Description: Double Vanilla Ice Cream Scoops, Waffle Squares, Crunchy Dark Waffle Balls, Gooey Toffee and Fresh Bananas, Served with Pure Melted Chocolate & Caramelised Pecans. Big, big serving for a teeny tiny girl, although she did polish off the bananas and ice cream.
Belgian waffle drizzled with pure, sweet, melted chocolate. Yum. Just yum. Served with ice cream (choice of vanilla or chocolate) and slices of fresh bananas and strawberries.
The signature dessert. Chocolate souffle with a warm, rich and gooey innard. Mmmm.
